Hasheminejad Kidney Center (HKC) is the national referral center for urology and
nephrology. It was the first hospital to launch a routine program of renal transplantation
in Iran (25 years ago). HKC houses the first and largest hemodialysis unit in this
country. Affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Science (TUMS), we have been training
postgraduate alumni for over 35 years. HKC has permanently hosted the monthly conference
of the Iranian Urological Association and bimonthly meeting of the Iranian Society
of Nephrology and Transplantation, and Iranian Endourology and Urolaparoscopy Society
from their conception.
The Center began full scale reforms in 2003, based on the European Foundation for
Quality Management, and has since achieved recognition by the National Production
& Excellence Award Committee, ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 certificates, and the Green
Management Award.
Moheb is a non for profit organization established as an annex to HKC to complement
the parent center by bringing the standard of care comfort only expected from a
private hospital together with the technical and professional excellence for which
HKC is so well known. Moheb now runs the private care facilities including 32 beds
for surgical care, boasting 1 and 2 bed rooms equipped with voice nurse call, direct
phone and internet access, video on demand and closed circuit visual & parametric
patient monitoring. It also manages the entire cardiology department including CCU,
Post CCU, Post cath and angiointervention lab (another 32 beds).
Moheb has expanded into a brand new building adjacent to HKC being constructed in 18 months and has become fully operational since 2010 which added more than 100 beds and multiple in-patient luxury suites to satisfy the demands of the most difficult to please.
